The different stages of a traditional hammam ritual
The traditional hammam is a ritual made up of ancestral gestures and care transmitted from mother to daughter since the dawn of time. Of Moroccan origin, the hammam is a real way of life, especially for women who practice it two or three days a week. It is the best way to take care of your skin and to eliminate toxins from your body. The steam generated is 100% humidity and the heat is close to 50°C.
Sweating:
Start your ritual with a 15 minute session. The humid heat will eliminate toxins and open the pores of your skin in preparation for the black soap scrub.
The scrub:
Lightly scrub the skin of your face and body with black soap. Use circular motions. The kessa glove enhances the effects of the black soap to refine the skin texture and remove impurities.
The rhassoul wrap:
Coat your body with rhassoul, this natural clay purifies and degreases the skin and hair.
Oil massage:
Well-being and lightness are provided by the softness of natural oils. This modelling session will finish by evacuating the last tensions.
Rest:
Take the time to rest for at least half an hour before resuming your activities. This is also traditionally the time to enjoy a tea or an infusion.
We have been inspired by this traditional oriental ritual to offer you all the benefits of this humid heat in the idyllic setting of the Chalet es Cerises. Take the time to treat yourself to a moment of well-being in this intimate and elegant space.

Soft natural furs for a very cocooning feeling
How do you recycle old fur coats? By turning them into cushions of course! That's what happened to a mink coat and a beaver pelisse. We gave them a second life thanks to the talent of the Maison Arpin in Megève who made them to measure with a Bonneval cloth face. Each cushion is unique, and to top it all off, we have placed them in this room as well as on the sofa in the living room.
The warm colours of these furs match the woollen carpets that we have placed on either side of the double bed. Thanks to them, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome when you wake up. The plaids are made of fake fur.

A cosy atmosphere and warm lighting
The timeless hanging lights at the headboard add a touch of pink. This light fixture with its pure geometric shapes is essential to warm up the room. A warm and romantic atmosphere is created at nightfall. On the shelves of the dovecote, a few decorative objects: pots, baskets and a plane to complete this traditional and cocooning atmosphere.
The sunrise, symbolised by the luminary “Here Comes The Sun.”
Unique bedside tables in Haute-Savoie
True works of art, these two side tables have been metallized by hand. Created from a piece of solid oak, they were covered with molten metal and then patiently polished by hand. Beforehand, the craftsman/artist broke out the knots by wetting the wood every day for three months. The result is absolutely unique, the wood seems to draw flowers in relief. With each variation in light, all the details of this pure work of art sparkle.
You won't find this piece anywhere else, even in the most exclusive hotels in the Haute-Savoie.
