A holiday chalet rental ideally located in Cordon in a magnificent setting
Undoubtedly the most beautiful view of the Alps and the Mont Blanc massif, Cordon is neither too far nor too close to the mountains. You will be instantly captivated by the wide, unobstructed view... Simply incredible! For those who prefer a beautiful view in a holiday rental, rest assured that the reality is even more appealing than the webcam view of the chalet.
Cordon is a gem that will captivate you from your very first visit to Savoie Mont-Blanc
We have installed a webcam under the roof of the chalet les Cerises to broadcast live images of the Mont Blanc massif. We are sharing this camera with all lovers of Cordon and the region. From fiery skies at dawn to pink mountains at sunset, not to mention moonrises, our webcam is updated continuously. Much better than a weather report, during the winter season you can find out about the intensity of the latest snowfall and the condition of the roads in Cordon before setting off in your car.
Our webcam is located at an altitude of 950 meters and does not reflect the snow conditions in the “Portes du Mont-Blanc” ski area, which peaks at over 2,300 meters. Here you will find a link to the webcams located at the foot of the Cordon ski slopes.
The Chalet les Cerises is located in Les Miaz, considered by the village residents to be one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Cordon sur le Mont-Blanc. By connecting to the Chalet les Cerises webcam, you can marvel at one of the most beautiful daily spectacles offered by Mother Nature.

A panoramic view of the Mont Blanc Massif
You will be awestruck by this 180° panorama of the surrounding mountains. The private jacuzzi, outdoor sauna, corner sofa in the living room, large balcony, and garden furniture are all positioned to face the sunset over the pink mountain.
Marvel at the sunrise over the Aiguille du Midi, the Dôme du Goûter, the Dôme du Bionnassay, or Mont Maudit. From Cordon, you can watch mountaineers setting out to conquer the highest peaks in the Alps through a telescope.
It's hard to find a more beautiful backdrop than Cordon, the balcony of Mont Blanc, for your vacation in the French Alps!

The Dôme du Goûter refuge
ENJOY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF CORDON OVER THE MONT BLANC RANGE
We have a telescope available at the chalet for you to admire the magnificent high mountain landscapes. You will quickly spot the Goûter refuge, located at an altitude of 3,835 meters, which is the last stop before climbing Mont Blanc. At dawn, from Cordon, you can sometimes see the glow of the headlamps used by mountaineers as they leave the snow-covered high-altitude refuges.
You will also easily spot the Montenvers railway line above the Chamonix valley—a straight, almost horizontal line cutting across the mountain. This picturesque red train takes you to the Mer de Glace, the largest glacier in the Alps. You can also take the Mont Blanc tramway from Saint-Gervais to the Bellevue plateau and the Vocza pass. Hikers and skiers will appreciate this alternative to the ski lifts for contemplating the magnificent mountain landscapes .

The summit of Mont Blanc
AND THE AIGUILLE DU MIDI
To the left of the roof of Europe, the silhouette of the Chamonix peaks can be seen. The legendary Aiguille du Midi and its dizzying cable car are particularly visible from the Les Cerises chalet. It takes just 20 minutes to reach the high mountains.
You can enjoy a 360-degree view of the glaciers and peaks of the Alps without having to climb. In winter, it is the starting point for the Vallée Blanche, which allows you to reach Chamonix-Mont-Blanc on skis in powder snow. Nearby, you can access the equally legendary Grands Montets ski area. Located between 1,235 metres and 2,800 metres above sea level, it offers the steepest slopes in the world near the Savoyard glaciers.
UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWS OF SEVERAL SKI RESORTS IN THE FRENCH ALPS
Installed on the balcony of chalet les Cerises, you can use the telescope to observe several ski areas accessible within a few minutes by car.
Below Mont Blanc lies the Les Houches ski area. A very wide piste cuts through the spruce forest in front of you. Further to the right, below Mont Joly, are the Combloux/Megève ski slopes.

All the webcams of the small ski resort of Cordon are available on the Tourist Office website
Located in the centre of the village, the Cordon Tourist Office is open Monday to Saturday and on Sundays during the season.
You will also find valuable information for your skiing holiday, such as the opening of the slopes, the weather forecast for the coming days, the snow report and where to find your ski passes and equipment. Pick up a map of the Cordon slopes; it is an ideal area for learning to ski, with only green and blue slopes. Higher up, there are a few more technical red runs, but no black runs. You can even book a dog sled ride, ESF downhill skiing or snowboarding lessons, or a snowshoe outing during your winter sports holiday.
In summer, you can pick up a map of the hiking trails. Superb walks will take you through Cordon, between alpine pastures and traditional chalets, to the heights of this side of the Aravis. You could also venture a little further into the Arve Valley and, for example, take a tour of the lakes in the Aiguilles Rouges massif. With a little luck, you may spot some wild animals such as badgers, marmots or chamois. It is also home to alpine birds of prey such as eagles and buzzards.
