At the Chalet les Cerises, witness an explosion of colour in Spring
Under the last snow, a multitude of wild flowers are already appearing. And for all the skiers who prefer off-piste skiing, it is enough to take a little altitude to continue to practice ski touring, the snow cover of the massif is often sufficient until the end of May. For your safety, we advise you to go skiing with a mountain guide.
The long days allow you to put on your hiking boots and enjoy the mountain trails. You can start your hike or trail directly from the Savoyard hamlet of Cordon. A series of "balconies" will allow you to contemplate the Mont-Blanc massif during your walk. The more athletic will be able to discover the slopes of the Aiguilles rouges park and spend a night in a mountain refuge.

With a light breeze during the hot days and always cool nights, it is the ideal climate to escape the scorching atmosphere of the cities. Safe from mosquitoes (which don't like this altitude) you can live in the fresh air, with your windows constantly open facing the Mont Blanc massif.
When the sunny days return, a multitude of new activities are offered to you. Facing the Mont Blanc massif, the 80 kilometres of trails in the surroundings At every turn, new perspectives with breathtaking views appear between the chalets. The smell of cut hay and the sound of clarines fill the air. You will be facing the roof of Europe, ideally situated to discover the splendid Mont Blanc region. Combloux, Megève and Chamonix are also excellent starting points for hiking in the heart of the massif.
What about a day away to swim on the sandy beaches of Lake Annecy?
Try to break par on the nearby magnificent mountain golf courses such as the Mont-d'Arbois in Megève or the popular Chamonix golf course.
Take your mountain bike or follow in the footsteps of the Tour de France. Numerous loops and referenced cycling routes pass through Cordon. The mythical alpine passes of the Mont Blanc Massif are very close to the village.
Beginners can try rock climbing near the Chalet les Cerises. The Tourist Office organises introductory courses with an instructor on the rock school in Cordon in the summer.
The Arve valley is a perfect playground for white water sports. Enjoy the thrill of canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed or kayaking.
