The art of entertaining without making the moment feel forced

CHALET LES CERISES: PRIVATE HOUSE ON THE BALCONS OF MONT BLANC

A gourmet cocktail party with views of Mont Blanc, near Megève

Before you start thinking about the cocktail, take a look at the property as a whole: suites, private spa, terrace, garden and private chalet overlooking Mont Blanc near Megève. Le Chalet & Spa Les Cerises, in Cordon in Haute-Savoie, hosts private gourmet cocktail dinners near Megève, with views of Mont Blanc. This setting is ideal for intimate weddings, private receptions, brand events and exclusive gatherings. The chalet can accommodate up to 19 people thanks to the covered balcony, the terrace and the open-plan living area.

Your guests aren’t following a set of rules: they’re joining a movement.

At Les Cerises, dinner isn’t necessarily something you sit down for. You can wander around the house, pop into the open-plan kitchen, linger on the sheltered balcony, return to the fire, and then head back out onto the terrace.

A different way to entertain, without confining your dinner guests

Some dinners are confined to the dining table. At Les Cerises, the evening can keep moving. You might sample a bite by the open kitchen. You might head out onto the sheltered balcony for a drink with a view of Mont Blanc. You might return to the fire, the plancha, a cosy room, and conversation.

Dinner loses none of its gastronomic quality when it breaks free from formal table service. It gains in freedom, fluidity and closeness to the guests.

The restaurant isn’t just a backdrop… It sets the pace.

For evenings you’ll never forget

AN ELEGANT AND LIVELY STANDING RECEPTION, WHERE DINNER IS SERVED IN STAGES: CHEF’S TASTING PORTIONS, HOT DISHES, SELECTED WINES, FOOD COOKED ON THE PLANCHA AND OVER AN OPEN FIRE, ALL SET AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF A SHELTERED BALCONY, A TERRACE AND VIEWS OF MONT BLANC.

An intimate wedding

For a small wedding, a cocktail reception replaces the traditional banquet with a livelier evening. Guests move freely amongst the canapés, wines, champagne, the fire, the sheltered balcony and the view of Mont Blanc. Every moment counts.

Private cocktail dinner

A dinner with no fixed seating, but by no means lacking in sophistication. Cold dishes, hot dishes, desserts, food and wine pairings, and culinary entertainment come together to create a succession of memorable moments.

Private reception

Birthdays, reunions, family celebrations: Les Cerises opens its doors to welcome a select group of guests.

Just a few guests, but an intimate, lively atmosphere, almost as if in a world of its own.

By invitation only

Whether for a high-profile evening, a business meeting or a low-key event, the chalet offers more than just a private venue: it is an intimate, welcoming and informal setting, where the Mont Blanc provides the backdrop to your conversation.

A dinner that unfolds in stages

A COCKTAIL DINNER DOES NOT REPLACE A MEAL. IT REINVENTS IT.

The evening might begin with a glass of champagne, followed by cold canapés, hot dishes, food cooked to order on the plancha, a wine pairing, a lighter dessert, and a glass of wine whilst enjoying the view of the mountains.

Guests are not assigned specific seats. They move about, watch the chef at work, catch the aroma of food cooking, step out onto the balcony, and return to the fire. The meal becomes a free-flowing yet guided experience. A subtle choreography centred on flavour.

The house overlooks Mont Blanc

On fine days, the living area almost blends into the landscape. The large sliding glass doors disappear from view, and the living room flows out onto the sheltered balcony, then onto the terrace and into the garden.

This sense of continuity changes everything. Guests remain sheltered, even if the weather is changeable, yet they are never cut off from the mountains. You can enjoy a drink outside, a hot snack can be served straight from the plancha, and a conversation can flow seamlessly from the lounge onto the terrace.

Even when the sky is overcast, the reception area retains its connection with the mountains.

It is this sense of space that makes it possible to accommodate up to 19 people in both summer and winter, when the house draws in round the fire.

What the evening might bring

OUR COCKTAILS ARE A SERIES OF SMALL MOMENTS: A WARM DISH SERVED AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, A GLASS OF WINE THAT SPARKS A CONVERSATION, FOOD GRILLED ON THE BALCONY, A LIGHTER DESSERT, AND A FINAL DRINK WITH A VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS.

This venue is ideal for those looking for a private setting near Megève and Geneva to host a cocktail reception, an intimate wedding reception, a brand event, an elegant birthday party or a private function complete with a chef, wines, a terrace, a fire and views of Mont Blanc. Unlike a traditional function room, Chalet Les Cerises offers an entire private house: an open-plan kitchen, lounge, fireplace, sheltered balcony, terrace, garden, spa and the option of overnight accommodation.

Inspired canapés…

inspired by the tradition of local produce and the chef’s creativity. Cold or hot dishes to be enjoyed standing up, reflecting the seasons and the spirit of the moment. Every bite must be distinct, precise and memorable.

Hot dishes for dinner

Dinner takes on a new dimension with more flavourful dishes: dishes cooked to order, small plates, served throughout the evening, without the formality of a sit-down meal.

Plancha on the sheltered balcony

The electric griddle brings the sheltered balcony to life: the sound of food cooking, the aroma, a hot bite to eat, the chef’s skilful movements – and Mont Blanc always right in front of you.

Terrace & garden

In summer, guests move between the terrace, the garden, the fire pit and the outdoor bar, whilst remaining connected to the living area. The evening feels more spacious.

Wines & drinks

Sparkling wines, wines from Savoie, exclusive vintages, cocktails or infusions of Alpine herbs are served at the reception, depending on the menu, the guests and the desired atmosphere.

Overnight stays

For the bride and groom, the main guests or a few other guests, the evening can continue on the premises. That last drink no longer means heading out onto the road.

A wedding dinner that doesn’t feel like a banquet

For an intimate wedding, a cocktail dinner allows you to capture the emotion of the day without confining guests to a rigid programme. The evening unfolds in several stages: welcome, canapés, wines, hot dishes, plancha, fire, dessert, champagne, terrace or garden.

This isn’t just a pre-dinner reception before another meal. It’s the dinner itself, but with a difference: more relaxed, more fluid, more lively. The chalet becomes a private home for entertaining those who really matter. A small gathering, but a more memorable experience. Mont Blanc, the fire, the chef’s movements and the natural flow between the lounge, balcony and terrace combine to create an evening that feels nothing like a function room.

A table that complements conversation

A gourmet cocktail dinner should not weigh down the evening. It should complement it, provide moments of respite, spark curiosity and draw guests back to the flavours without stifling the flow of the evening.

At Michel Louis Lentz’s restaurant, the canapés and hot dishes may draw inspiration from the seasons, local produce, Savoyard traditions, foraging, natural fermentation or a lighter style of cooking.

The idea is not to pile on the effects. It is to find the right intensity, the right touch, the right bite at the right moment. Pleasure remains central. It simply becomes more refined.

Two seasons, two ways to entertain

Winter chalet lounge for a cocktail dinner by the fire

In winter: fire, snow, cosiness

When the floor-to-ceiling windows remain closed, the living area feels more intimate, centred around the lounge, the open-plan kitchen, the fireplace and the warm lighting. The cocktail dinner takes on a more intimate, cosy and enveloping atmosphere.

In summer: the fresh air, the balcony, the terrace

When the floor-to-ceiling windows slide open, the living area flows out onto the large, sheltered balcony and then onto the terrace. Guests can move about whilst remaining sheltered, with Mont Blanc on the horizon.

A NATURAL SETTING FOR CERTAIN PRIVATE EVENTS

A cocktail dinner can also form part of a brand event, a business meeting, a low-key launch or a private function. Les Cerises chalet is neither a restaurant open to the public nor an event venue. It is a private residence that opens its doors on request, for a select group, a specific project or a particular occasion. The cocktail format therefore allows for flexible hosting, without detracting from the venue’s elegance or character.

Why not stay the night?

For the bride and groom, the main guests or a few invited guests, the evening can continue with a night at the chalet. After the last drink, there’s still the fire, the spa, the suites, the tranquillity of Cordon and the morning light on Mont Blanc.

Overnight stays are not compulsory. They simply change the nature of the moment. The cocktail dinner no longer ends in a car. It ends in a quiet house, then begins again upon waking, when the mountains reappear through the windows.

Mont Blanc Suite

The Mont-Blanc Suite can serve as the chalet’s natural bridal suite, or as a retreat for guests wishing to extend their evening after a cocktail dinner. Its 35 m² opens onto a private terrace overlooking the mountain peaks.

The suite features a queen-size bed that can be split into two single beds, a single bed, a wood-burning stove and a private hammam.

Before you start planning your cocktail dinner

How many people can attend a cocktail dinner at the chalet?

The cocktail dinner is designed as a standing, relaxed and intimate affair, bringing together up to 19 guests, in both summer and winter. On fine days, opening the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room naturally extends the reception area onto the sheltered balcony and terrace.

Could this format replace a sit-down wedding dinner?

Yes. For an intimate wedding, the cocktail reception can serve as the main meal of the evening. It consists of several courses: canapés, hot dishes, wines, grilled specialities, desserts, champagne and time spent together in the house.

Can the cocktail party be held all year round?

Yes. In winter, life centres around the living room, the open-plan kitchen and the fire. In summer, the sheltered balcony, the terrace and the garden allow for a more seamless transition between indoors and outdoors.

Can the plancha be used during the evening?

Yes. An electric griddle installed on the covered balcony allows you to cook in front of your guests, particularly in summer or during a long cocktail dinner.

Can we arrange food and wine pairings or specific drinks?

Yes. A selection of wines, sparkling wines, cocktails, herbal infusions made from Alpine plants or non-alcoholic drinks can be offered depending on the menu, the season, the guests and the desired level of experience.

Is this format also suitable for private or business events?

Oui. Le dîner cocktail convient à un lancement de marque, une soirée privée, une rencontre professionnelle, un événement confidentiel ou un petit cercle d’invités VIP.

Can we stay overnight after the party?

Yes. Depending on the format and the chosen package, some guests may choose to extend their evening with an overnight stay at the chalet, enjoying access to the suites, the peace and quiet of the house, and waking up to a view of Mont Blanc.
