Private dining table with a chef, overlooking Mont Blanc, near Megève

Chalet & Spa Les Cerises can host a private dining experience with a chef in Cordon, near Megève, overlooking Mont Blanc. The ideal setting is for 10 to 12 guests, with a maximum capacity of 14 people. Michel Louis Lentz cooks in the heart of the chalet, in an open-plan kitchen, or occasionally invites chefs of his own choosing to create dinners centred around a seasonal produce, a foraged ingredient, a wine, a fermentation process or a culinary collaboration. Before planning your dining experience, take a look at the house as a whole: suites, private spa, living area, garden and private chalet overlooking Mont Blanc near Megève.

An intimate and lively sit-down dinner, where Michel Louis Lentz creates his menu around a seasonal ingredient, a harvest or a chance encounter

At Les Cerises, a private dining experience is unlike a standard restaurant booking. It takes place in a house with views of the mountains, with the chef at the open-plan kitchen, his movements in full view, the aromas wafting out before the dishes are served, glasses by the fire, and that rare feeling of dining in a place that is there just for you. This private dining experience forms part of the wider world of pop-up dining and fine dining with views of Mont Blanc, conceived at Les Cerises.

The luxury of having the chef all to yourself

In a restaurant, the chef often disappears behind the kitchen door. At Les Cerises, he stays put. You can see his technique, smell the cooking, and understand the dish even before it reaches the table.

We don’t just come here for dinner. We come to witness a meal taking shape in the house, to savour an ingredient, a fermentation process, a herb, a wine, a balance. Dinner becomes a conversation between the chef, the guests, the fire and the mountains.

Michel Louis Lentz: taste as a field of exploration

Michel Louis Lentz is a chef shaped by the great establishments, a meticulous approach and an eye for detail. At Les Cerises, he isn’t there to replicate a restaurant: he is there to listen to a place, a season, an ingredient, a light.

On certain evenings, Michel may also invite a chef of his choosing. A different touch, a different voice, a different way of describing flavour – always in keeping with the spirit of Chalet Les Cerises: intimate, precise and deeply rooted in the local area. Through these special encounters, guests discover a different way of approaching food, flavour, health and life itself.

Gastrohumanism®️, developed by Michel Lentz, goes beyond mere gastronomy. It invites us to understand the bonds that unite people, nature, local terroirs and traditional skills.

A tasting experience thus becomes a story.

A meal becomes a way of passing on traditions.

A flavour becomes a memory.

Chalet Les Cerises is a destination for those seeking more than just comfort or prestige.

Seasonal produce as the theme for a private dinner at the chalet

An intimate table, never run-of-the-mill

A MEAL MAY BE INSPIRED BY A CHEF, A SEASONAL INGREDIENT, FORAGING, A WINE OR A FERMENTATION PROCESS.

The private dining room is designed to remain exclusive, intimate and almost private. The ideal number of guests is between 8 and 12, with a maximum capacity of 14 people.

Dinner can be centred around seasonal produce, a single ingredient chosen as the theme, foraged fare, a drink crafted through the natural fermentation of plants, cooking over an open flame, or a moment spent by the fireside. Nothing is set in stone: the meal is tailored to the guests, the season, the chef and the intention.

Format:

Private sit-down dinner.

Ideal:

8 to 12 guests.

Maximum:

14 people.

Venue:

Living area, open-plan kitchen, view of Mont Blanc.

Chefs:

panoramic view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains

Topics:

Authenticity in a cuisine inspired by the Savoyard region, using seasonal produce and culinary techniques that bring out the flavours to their fullest.

Options:

Food and wine pairings, inspired cocktails, Savoyard barbecues, cookery workshops, overnight stays, wellness treatments, local producers or a botanist.

The kitchen is no longer behind the door

The open kitchen changes the nature of the dinner. The chef doesn’t just arrive with a finished dish. He prepares, fine-tunes, tells stories, lets the aromas waft through the air, and demonstrates a technique, a cooking method or a texture. The guests watch the meal take shape. A sauce is finished. A hot bite is served at the very last moment. A herb is added. Fermentation brings out a hint of acidity. The meal takes on a livelier, more sensitive, more human dimension.

WHEN A CHEF IS INVITED: THE RESTAURANT WELCOMES A NEW VOICE, WHILES RETAINING THE SAME SPIRIT OF INTIMACY, PRECISION AND RESPECT FOR THE LOCATION.

Private spa, treatments and gentle therapies at the chalet

For a more relaxed reception or an intimate, dynamic wedding, a gourmet cocktail dinner with views of Mont Blanc offers a different way to host your event.

Food and wine pairings

Wines from Savoie, exclusive vintages, large bottles or more daring pairings – such as vibrant blends of herbs – can complement your dishes.

Your glasses become part of the story.

Guest chefs for private dining at Les Cerises

Guest chefs

A team of chefs is at your service, offering culinary creations inspired by a glance, a gesture or a connection with an ingredient. Some dining experiences will thus become encounters: another pair of hands in the kitchen, another voice on the subject of flavour.

A product as a common thread

A meal can be inspired by a single ingredient: from the vegetable patch, the cheese dairy, a foraging trip, the orchard, or a particular technique.

The dinner is then built around it, like a story unfolding.

Fire, brazier and fireplace

A fire can accompany dinner, warm the atmosphere and create a slower, more intimate rhythm.

The fire does not merely adorn the evening. It is at the very heart of it.

Flame and quick cooking

The plancha allows for certain types of cooking that are visible, direct and almost instantaneous. A scent, the sizzle, a dish that transforms before the guests’ very eyes.

Wild Harvests

Depending on the season, a foraged item, a herb, a flower, a botanical discovery or an encounter with nature can inspire the menu.

Healthy cooking

A culinary approach firmly focused on the body’s needs: gastrohumanism®. A style of cooking that is lighter and easier to digest, but never restrictive.

Overnight stays at the chalet

If you’d like to make the experience last a little longer, you can spend the night at the chalet after dinner, followed by a low-GI breakfast.

The atmosphere at a table at Les Cerises

Nothing is set in stone. Each weekend is tailored to the season, the guests, what everyone fancies to eat and drink, the spa treatments and the group’s pace. Here is a suggested outline, as a first way of imagining your stay.

Before dinner

First drinks

Spotlight on Mont Blanc, a chat with Michel, the potential guest chef, or the ingredient that will inspire the menu.

First tastes

Intention

A seasonal dish, the first course of the dinner.

The centre of the table

Open-plan kitchen

dishes served at the table, food and wine pairings, and conversations about produce, cooking over an open fire or foraging.

A lively moment

Quick-cook or chef’s special, depending on the menu.

The end of the table

Sweets

The tea ceremony, a final drink, the silence of the mountains.

After dinner

Back to normal

Spa, with the option of an overnight stay or a guided departure.

Or… Extend the experience

Sometimes it feels as though it’s time to leave too soon. The experience can simply be extended to enjoy a precious morning with a view of Mont Blanc.

A cosy touch in a bedroom, perfect for extending a gourmet dinner at the chalet

What if the dinner went on all night?

After a private dinner, hitting the road again might feel a bit too abrupt. The suites allow you to extend the evening within the house: a dying fire, the chance to enjoy the spa, a quiet bedroom, and then the Mont Blanc when you wake up.

When the meal extends into the night, the experience can turn into a proper gourmet weekend with a view of Mont Blanc. The meal is no longer just an evening out. It becomes a break from the everyday.

Mont Blanc Suite

The Mont-Blanc Suite offers a natural retreat for guests wishing to extend their dining experience with an overnight stay at the chalet. Its 35 m² opens out onto a private terrace overlooking the mountain peaks. The suite features a queen-size bed and a single bed, a wood-burning stove and a private hammam.

When dining promotes wellbeing

A meal can naturally round off a wellness break with views of Mont Blanc, complementing the private spa, massages, sound therapy and lighter cuisine. In this context, the cuisine seeks a different balance: lighter, more attuned to the senses, and more in tune with the body and the season.

Dinner doesn’t come after the treatment. It can be a natural continuation of it.

Before you start planning your table

How many guests can sit around the table at Les Cerises chalet?

The ideal number of guests is between 10 and 12. The maximum capacity is 14 people, to ensure comfort, quality of service and an intimate experience.

Does Michel Louis Lentz cook in front of his guests?

Yes. The open-plan kitchen allows the chef to prepare certain dishes right at the heart of the house, in full view of the guests. The dinner becomes more lively, more immediate, and brings guests closer to the cooking process.

Can we organise a dinner with a guest chef?

Yes. Michel Louis Lentz wishes to invite chefs whom he has selected for their artistic sensibility, their culinary technique or their approach to ingredients. These dinners may be organised around a theme, a seasonal ingredient, a foraging session, a wine or a particular source of inspiration.

Can dinners be based around a seasonal ingredient?

Yes. Some menus can be designed around a single ingredient: a vegetable, a herb, cheese, fruit, foraged produce, fermented foods or wine. This central theme allows us to create a menu that is more grounded, linked to the season and the location.

Can we suggest some food and wine pairings?

Yes. A selection of wines can be put together to suit the menu, the season, the ingredients and the guests’ preferences.

Could the cuisine be lighter or more suitable?

Yes. Depending on the menu, some options may include gluten-free dishes, less-sweet pastries, unprocessed products, naturally fermented foods or dishes free from unnecessary additives.

Can we stay overnight after dinner?

Yes. The private table can be booked in conjunction with one or more nights’ accommodation at the chalet, subject to availability and the package selected.
